Osmanthus & Saffron
Osmanthus is an ornamental plant that has long been used in Chinese cuisine as an aromatic infusion in teas, jams, cakes and liquors. It has an unmistakeable scent of fuzzy peaches and apricots, almost bordering on overripe, with a suede-like overlay.
Saffron, a precious spice harvested from the flower Crocus sativa, has also been used in cuisine to impart a soft, hay-like floral flavor. It makes a wonderful perfume note, having a complex aroma of suede, soft rose and crisp apple.
Now you're probably wanting to actually smell these lovely scents in action! Well, fragrant friends, we've selected some great fragrances that feature these stand-out notes.
